Hope is a Christian congregation dedicated to sharing the message of Jesus’ salvation to all ages.
In 1935, First Evangelical Lutheran Church was founded in Prescott. In 1985, members from First gathered to form a mission church in Chino Valley. In 2021, the two churches merged to become Hope Lutheran Church, one congregation with two sites for ministry. We are united and guided by our shared mission to carry out Jesus’ Great Commision (Matthew 28:19–20).
On any given Sunday, you are likely to see worshipers ranging from babies to grizzled veterans. We have people who come in shorts and t-shirts and others that wear suits and dresses. We have people who come from various parts of the world and different walks of life. But one thing is true for all of us: We are all sinners in need of a Savior, Jesus. As we struggle to live for him, we support one another and share the message of the Bible to all that we can. We always have room for more!
